Our Signature Mixtures are our premium line — specialty blends in our iconic cotton bags, engineered for homeowners who want the best results. Home Pro offers reliable Lifetyme quality at a value price point in 50 lb bags, ideal for larger lawns and budget-conscious projects. Pro Turf Mixtures are professional-grade blends designed for demanding conditions — high traffic, fast establishment, shade challenges, and low-maintenance situations. All three lines are blended right here in East Peoria, IL.

The best seed depends on your sunlight conditions, intended use, and maintenance preferences. As a starting point: for full sun to part sun lawns, our Sun & Shade Mixed Grass Seed (Signature line) is our most popular and versatile choice. For shaded areas, try our Sod-Builder Shady Lawn Mixture. For low-maintenance situations, the Slow 'N Low Fescue or Pro Turf Hardy Lawn Mixture are excellent options. Our Sun & Shade Mixed Grass Seed 2 lb and 5 lb bag carries our exclusive "Guaranteed to Grow — or Another Bag Free" promise. It's our flagship product and the one we're most confident in. If it doesn't grow under proper planting conditions, contact us and we'll make it right with another bag. This guarantee applies to the 2 lb and 5 lb Signature bag only.

Yes. Our Forage collection includes alfalfa, multiple clover varieties (Ladino White, Medium Red, Micro Clover), Timothy, Orchardgrass, Smooth Bromegrass, Rye Grain, Red Winter Wheat, and Spring Oats —
in sizes from 1 lb to 25 lb. We also carry Farm Pro pasture blends specifically formulated for horse pastures, cattle operations, and waterway/erosion control applications.

For most of our cool-season lawn grasses, early spring and early fall are the ideal planting windows. Fall (late August through October) is generally preferred — cooler temperatures, more consistent moisture, and reduced weed competition give new seed the best chance to establish. Forage crops like cereal rye and winter wheat are planted in fall specifically. For specific timing guidance, each product page includes planting tips tailored to that seed type.

Micro Clover (Aberace variety) is a perennial dwarf clover that grows denser and lower than traditional clover, making it a great addition to existing lawns or a standalone low-maintenance lawn alternative. It naturally fixes nitrogen from the atmosphere, reducing or eliminating the need for synthetic fertilizer, and is tolerant of moderate foot traffic, drought, and light shade. It's available as a standalone seed (Micro Clover Aberace) or blended with Kentucky Bluegrass and Creeping Red Fescue in our Micro Clover Sun & Shade Flowering Lawn Mix.

Absolutely. Custom seed mixing is one of our specialties. We handle everything from State DOT specifications and athletic fields to golf courses, sod farms, and private-label retail bagging. The process is straightforward: send us your job specifications, a photo of your current seed tag, or just give us a call — our team will develop the right blend and return a quote the same day. Most custom orders under 6,000 lbs ship within 48 hours; larger orders of 10,000 lbs or more may take 7–10 days. Bags are available in 5 lb, 25 lb, and 50 lb sizes. Ordering and Payment

We accept all major credit cards and other payment options displayed at checkout. All transactions are processed securely — we do not store your full payment card details. Your financial information is handled
exclusively by our trusted third-party payment providers.

Yes — our larger bag sizes (25 lb and 50 lb) are priced to offer a lower cost-per-pound compared to smaller bags, making them the smart choice for larger projects. Shipping

We ship within the contiguous United States. We do not currently offer international shipping. Please note that certain seed varieties may be restricted from shipment to specific states due to agricultural regulations — if your order contains a restricted item, we'll contact you before processing to discuss alternatives or issue a full refund for those items.

Orders are typically processed and prepared for shipment within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays). During peak planting seasons — spring (March–May) and fall (August–October) — processing may extend to 3–5 business days due to higher order volume. Once shipped, delivery estimates are provided at checkout by the carrier. We ship via UPS, FedEx, and USPS.

Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number and a link to track your shipment in real time. If you don't receive a tracking email within 3 business days of placing your order, please reach out to us at info@lifetymeseed.com or 309-674-5153.

We recommend first checking around your property and with neighbors, then contacting your local post office or carrier facility directly. Once a package is marked delivered by the carrier, we're unable to take
responsibility for lost or stolen packages, but we're here to help. If you believe your package was lost in transit (never delivered), contact us at info@lifetymeseed.com or 309-674-5153 and we'll open an investigation with the carrier.

Certain grass seed varieties are subject to federal and state agricultural regulations that may restrict or prohibit shipment to specific states. It's your responsibility to confirm that the products you order are legal to receive in your jurisdiction. If you have questions about restrictions in your state, please contact us before placing your order and we'll help you find a suitable alternative.

Returns and Refunds

All seed sales are final. Because germination and growth outcomes depend on variables outside our control — soil conditions, weather, irrigation, storage, and planting practices — we're unable to accept returns or issue refunds based on germination results, crop performance, changes in planting plans, or partially used/opened bags. That said, we stand behind our quality and are always here to help you succeed. Contact us and we'll work with you.

Please contact us within 10 days of delivery at info@lifetymeseed.com or 309-674-5153 with your order number, clear photographs of the damaged or incorrect item and packaging, and a description of the issue. We'll review your case promptly. Approved claims are resolved through a replacement shipment or store credit at our discretion.

We genuinely want you to succeed, and our seeds meet or exceed all legal germination rate requirements. Because germination depends heavily on environmental variables — soil preparation, moisture, temperature,
and timing — we're unable to issue refunds based on results. However, our team is available to help troubleshoot and guide you toward a better outcome.
