The most winter-hardy small grain — grazing-ready in 4–6 weeks and excellent for soil health.

Lifetyme Forage Rye Grain (cereal rye) is the most winter-hardy and drought-tolerant of all small grain crops. It establishes quickly in fall and provides high-quality grazing within 4–6 weeks of planting, extending the grazing season well into late fall and early winter when other grasses are dormant. As a cover crop it scavenges up to 100 lbs of nitrogen per acre.

For livestock producers needing late-season grazing, a reliable winter cover crop, or a deer food plot attractant.
